Dear Camp Angels and Donors,
My name is Miles and I was diagnosed with T1 on 1/8/18 and am continuing to transition into my new normal. T1 changed my life, but my family strongly enforces that it doesn’t define me as a person. I can and do still live a productive, dream-desired, life of working toward accomplishing my goals. . Attending Diabetes camp gives me the opportunity to be around kids with similar challenges and successes. I’ve gained so much confidence from the informational sessions, activities, friends, and lasting confidence that keeps me determined and focused on healthy decisions/food choices. Our family would benefit from this scholarship, as it would help my family with this financial obligation. I LOVE going to this camp, and want to do my part by writing this letter to seek a scholarship to help them be able to send me.
